In many ways, Manchester is the quintessential Northern England city. From the food to the weather, Manchester has “traditional England” written all over it. But, there is also a vintage, artsy, rock and roll side to this city, and I’m here to uncover it. The Northern Quarter is my favorite section of the city. Conveniently located to Market Street and City Centre, Manchester’s Northern Quarter is a mixture of vinyl, vintage, and creativity. Indie record stores, kitschy coffee shops, and prime vintage clothing are fixtures in brick covered alleys. These photographs combine a view of that traditional, northern city with the hip and artistic side.
